As a teenager, I was floored watching Stevie Ray Vaughan as Little Stevie performing Lonnie Mack covers in an Austin, Texas juke joint I knew Stevie was special, I followed the Vaughan Brothers closely His brother Jimmy scored a breakout album with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and their hit single "Tough Enough." Stevie attempted to follow.  I saw him perform at Buffalo State College as an unknown opening act for Cindy Lauper.  Stevie was offered a spot with David Bowie and played on the platinum album China Girl.  When offered the subsequent tour, Vaughan declined and return to tour the country in his beat up van with Double Trouble.
